Zusammenfassung

17 of us spent 2 wks here. The villa was not very clean, floors, bathrooms, bed covers(stained) etc, one room smelt of smoke and was barely habitable. There was an infestation of ants, which made keeping food ant free a challenge. The bin didn't have a lid, towels were left for us to finish washing/drying. There was 1 toilet roll, no soap or cleaning products. Many of the pillows were flat as a pancake. The table tennis was rusty with broken legs and no nets/bats. The gardens/pool, itself were lovely. There is a shop and tapas bars close by, a car is recommended. The kitchen had 3 fridges and good air con once they fixed it in one of the rooms, which they did promptly. Theres lots to do in the area. The villa itself was shabby and in need of improvements. The bathroom doors didn’t lock, one toilet didn’t flush properly, the shower doors leaked and were mouldy. The outside seating had no table top, and collapsed seats. The photos on the website are out of date, there were broken chairs piled outside as well as access to the room under the pool - beware this could be hazardous with small children. A welcome pack would be useful (the bins have to be taken to a location near the supermarket, we found this out by messaging the villa mgr). For a 2 wks stay, the villa should be cleaned and towels/bedding changed after a week especially for the cleaning charges we had to pay. Upon arrival, we gave the deposit of €1200 in cash to the villa mgr on the understanding it would be returned to us at check out. Upon checkout, the villa manager was sick and did not attend. After a lot of stress and chasing her and the owner, she said we would have to do a 40km round trip to her house to collect the cash! We had no choice, upon arrival she did not answer calls/texts. We eventually got hold of Olivier, he promised to transfer the money that day. It took a further 10 days and formal complaints until the money was sent. We got no compensation/apology, this ruined our last day, we also lost money on the conversion rate! We would revisit the area but not the villa as below standard and poor communication from the owner.
